A Chapter of Carols is a collection of Christmas carols written for performance in Wells Cathedral and the stunningly beautiful Chapter House that adjoins the building. They have been written by Nigel Hayward a former music teacher at Wells Cathedral School that is one of the four specialist music schools in the country.

The carols were performed at Christmas concerts in the Cathedral over a number of years when extra concerts had to be arranged to meet the demand of people from Somerset and beyond wanting hear most moving music in inspirational surroundings.

While they have been performed live on national television and radio they have never before been published and mixed with suitable readings they create a wonderful concert programme.
